The Municipal Art League of Chicago
in continuing its pursuit of recognition and acknowledgment of rare
and outstanding practices of artistic excellence in the field of fine art
has recognized Arlene Salamendra as the sole recipient of this year's
award-
"The Municipal Art League of Chicago Award of Excellence of
2009"
Salamendra will be presented with a gold medal affixed to a
certificate of acknowledgment of her achievement and a monetary
award.

The awards dinner was held on May 8, 2009 in Glenwood, IL
